“This Is Not Over” – New Release from Dark Songs 2020

Posted on October 30, 2020March 18, 2022

I’ve loved this tune since it was written by my good “song family” friends Andrea Wittgens & Vincent Gates back at Dark Songs 2012. It has the #crazyexgirlfriend vibe, which may or may not have been my, uh, signature back then.

Since the festivals have gone virtual, the writers have been doing tributes (aka covers) of older Dark Songs tunes, and I jumped at the chance to claim this musical-theater-esque monstrosity. Plus, it was a good chance to get back into programming MIDI a little bit–something I haven’t really done since I dunno…2012? Heh.

If you’re digging this, check out the full Dark Songs 2020 playlist on YouTube.

I so wanted the camera to pan back at the end and there to be your dead lover all fly covered and decomposing… is that bad?
